Fishing at a small reservoir located in southern Illinois. Second time on this small body of water but turned out to be awesome! Fish were both deep and shallow and the main thing they were hitting was the spinnerbait. We caught some fish on other shad imitating baits but the spinnerbait was the dominant of them all. Caught two keepers on the day as the first one is at the 0:26 mark and weighed 4.01 lbs. The second is at the 4:31 mark and she weighed 3.13 lbs. Water was very clear, bluebird skies all day, water temperature was low 70s, air temperature was low 70s, and the wind was coming out of the south from 5-10+ MPH the whole day.
Since it was such a slugfest and so much fun I posted nearly all fish caught. Fish were caught on a Booyah 1/4 oz single Colorado blade spinnerbait, Storm Wiggle Wart, Bill Lewis 1/2 oz Rat-L-Trap, Strike King Tour Grade 3/8 oz Swim Jig, and Strike King 5XD Crankbait.
