Ever wonder where the bass are, all year long? This video is full of secrets to help you find bass on shallow water cover, in any season. Watch as Gluszek and Roumbanis, both accomplished bass fishing tournament anglers, dissect shallow water areas: grass, timber, rock, points, dropoffs and more, to help you understand when to target certain high-percentage areas, and what baits/lures they recommend to use for catching bass at that time, in that particular shallow water cover. This video was filmed on Lake El Salto, a big bass haven, with the Angler’s Inn.

Roodekopjes dam in late winter – pre-spawn bass and carp starting to feed up for their spawn. Catfish (barbel) sunbathe in the shallows, but the clear water makes them and the carp very skittish. This coupled with the lethargy brought on by the cold water makes for challenging yet rewarding angling
Bass fishing with a jerkbait, in late winter, is a must try from the bank. The erratic action of a jerkbait, combined with it’s suspending pause, make it an awesome prespawn fishing lure. I am bank fishing in water that is between 55 & 60 degrees. The bass are starting to move in to the backs of the creeks as they warm up. I usually see the smaller males first, and the larger fish show up a little later. Today I manage to catch two small largemouth bass before I break my jerkbait trying to get it free from a tree. If you are bass fishing from the bank this winter or spring, give the jerkbait a try!

On the 20th July the Ilotopie took to the water on the Manchester Ship Canal to perform their show ‘Water Fools’.
The show involved cars driving on the water, cyclists pedalling on the water and even a rowing bed, all choreographed to music and fireworks.
Although I had no idea what the story was about, it was a fantastic performance lasting around 30 minutes. Here is a video of the crowd gathering at the beginning at MediaCityUK, and a bit during the show.

Lipless crank baits are incredibly versatile. They can be burned through the water column, slow rolled and “ticked” through vegetation and cover, or hopped and dragged along the bottom like a jig. All of these presentations are effective during different Spring conditions, though some are more effective than others on different lakes. For anglers that travel lake to lake or anglers that want to be well rounded on their home lake, its important to own baits for each different “style” of lipless crankbait fishing.

One of the best bass fishing lures of all time has to be the spinnerbait. Although it has been around for many years, it still continues to catch big bass all over the world. There are many differrent sizes and forms of spinnerbaits that can be fished in a variety of situations but they mainly mimick the shad that largemouth and smallmouth bass love to feed up on. In the early spring, the shad will begin to migrate to the shallows banks and backs of creeks and pockets to begin their spawning. They spawn at night during the full moon. Anytime you are seeing shad in the shallows it is a good time to through a spinnerbait for these bass. In this video, I am joined my friend Tyler and we are running banks where bass are staging up to begin spawning. I’ll give you some tips and techniques on fishing these spinnerbaits for bass and you can check out the style of spinnerbaits we are fishing to catch these bass. Stained water and windy conditions are always good for fishing spinnerbaits for bass, but you can fish them in any lake or pond during the early and late spring and have some big bass hit them.

Every single BIG fish we catch is captured “Cast to Catch”, almost always with multiple angles. Here is some RAW footage for you to gain some insight on the sequences that comprise the content here at Big Bass Dreams.
This is just one of the 3 angles we have that feature a 17.40 personal best for Oliver Ngy. So far this is his biggest bass ever. We are considering doing another video from another angle for your enjoyment if you guys have any interest in that, please leave a comment! Wishing everybody out there good fishing, positive vibes and hopefully we can all relate on a similar experience when we see each other on the water!
