Bass Fishing After A Cold Front and During A Rain Storm

This is a continuation from the Episode 6 ‘Bass Fishing Cold Front Tactics’. The week after that show was filmed, Frank decided to try that lake again the following week in hopes of better weather and better fishing.
Although the air temps did get warmer later in the afternoon, it was cold in when we launched in the morning, and there were rain storms on and off all day as well. The bass were biting but the big ones were very seldom.
Frank was catching them using top water presentations including poppers, frogs, buzz baits. Moving into a bit deeper water depths throwing jerk baits seemed to be the key to catching more bass in patches of grass.

This was filmed on the June 7, 2015.

  1. Good video! Makes me want to get out there fishing. One small thing though, support the body of the bass if you are going to hold it horizontal. It's hard on their jaw to do any other than lift straight up.
