How to Select the Right Topwater Lure – Bass Fishing Tips

Hopefully this video will help every angler when it comes to selecting topwater lures based on weather conditions. The two most important factors in lure selection are water temperature and wind. I also group topwater baits based on their speed category and give a detailed explanation on which speeds to use throughout the year. Use the noisier baits when the wind is high and the quiet baits when its slick. School session is over, now its time to do some topwater bass fishing folks!

  1. Definitely love education videos, the you tube bass fishing channels are where I have been learning the most about bass fishing I can be taught at technique and see it in action and then go try it for myself please do make your five part series thanks for the top water video keep it up

  2. Also the weight of lure is important too. Now you can get cheap lures from ebay or aliexpress but they are lightweight than more expensive lures. Weight helps lure to sink and once you pull it it makes better popping sound. So more expensive lures in most cases does better job.

  3. Great instructions. I cannot wait to start my top water game in the spring. Ive been mainly a crank bait fisherman and I am looking forward to expand my fishing experience. Thanks in part to you.

  4. Crazy thing is, I just asked someone the other day how do they determine which top water lure to throw and BAM found this jewel of a video.  Thank you so much.  You answered my questions.

  5. Always enjoy your educational videos so keep them coming please. As a change-up, would be neat to see Liz do one. Have watched her catch enough giants to know she has the knowledge.

  6. Great video, I love all of the teaching info. Please keep it coming, I need all of the help I can get. Just getting back into fishing in serious way after not being able to fish for a long time. My best friend and fishing buddy is in the same boat as I am. I will turn him on to you as well. Thanks

  7. Why are your papodour so expensive. They look so good but 22 dollars is too much. I would buy it if it was maximum 15 but too sad that it's to expensive 😭😢😓
