The Atchafalaya Basin

The Atchafalaya Basin in South Louisiana near Pierre Part and Morgan City is an over flow for the Mississippi, Atchafalaya and Red River. It is a maze of natural Bayous, Cannels, Piplines and Lakes. It’s the most interesting fishery I’ve visted in the world with virtually endess and unlimited water to fish. The Upper Basin features Cypress Woods while the lower basin is a coastal marsh. Check out some of the awesome scenery from my recent trip during the BASSmaster Central Open.
