Song: Flarve — Artist: Bounce
Location: Moon Lake, Phenix City, AL
Date: March 11, 2016
Air Temperature: 73-81°F
Sky: Partly Cloudy Earlier
Camera: GoPro Hero 4 Black
Lures Used: Neko Rig w/ Black Worm
Spot Remover w/ Black Worm
First kayak outing of 2016 and was able to catch a good sized bass on a shaky head rig. Bright sunny day with air temps in the mid 70s but water temps were still lingering around the 40-42 degree mark.
Started out with jerkbaits and lipless crankbaits which usually do well for me in these cold water conditions, however, after getting zero bites I went to more finesse presentations and finally caught my first bass of 2016.
Bass caught on:
Kayak: Stealth Emotions 11 Kayak
Netbait Shaky Head – 1/8oz in Green Pumpkin Color (received in my November Mystery Tackle Box):
Kicker Fish Hightail Holeshot Shaky Worm – 4 3/4″ in Watermelon Purple color:
Rod: Diawa Samurai 6’6″ medium spinning combo (bought two for $35 @ Dick’s Sporting Goods Fall of 2015):
Line: 20lb SpiderWire Stealth-Braid w/ 12lb fluorocarbon leader tied together with an FG knot.

Lure: Incredi Frog
Hooks: 3/0 Trokar
Hooks: Double Take 4/0
Rod: 7′ Medium St. Croix Avid Fast
Reel: Lews Team Pro
Line: Stren 17 lb. mono
Line: 30 lb. braid
After keeping this frog a secret for a while, we felt it was time to let the secret out of the bag and show the fishing world how deadly this new Incredi Frog can be. We have gotten the most unbelievable topwater strikes from this new frog and it has been a staple in our Topwater Blowup Series. This frog is perfect for fishing grass mats and lily pads and the weight allows the frog to run smoothly. The bubbling sound will entice shark like strikes from bass sitting just below the grass.
