It started as a foggy overcast day on the water. Topwater was on but my mistake was to stay on top with a chugger when the bigger fish were below feeding on the carnage of a dozen boils above. Should have thrown a jerkbait or a lipless burned below the action! That’s what I love about fishing! Each hour is a new day of fishing as the fog burns off the fish go deeper. I ended up loosing a couple bigger fish and caught two decent keepers, 1 kentucky and a nice smallmouth! Those were both caught on a bottom bouncing lure, a watermelon tube lure. Even that presentation required an adjustment! I stained the watermelon gitzit with a dye pen, in orange and then I began to catch the bigger fish. This was our final tournament of the Table Rock north division of USA Bassin national fishing trail, for spring, and it took over 15.5 lbs to win it! Congratulations to Kevin and Bryan Jackson as they took the win And big bass with a nice 5.23 lb largemouth! Watch for our summer series beginning soon!

The OMTT launched 100+ boats on Table Rock lake May 12, 2018. The fish were biting but the bigger bass were not easy to come by. We fished topwater baits, ned rigs, and jigs to catch 15.38 lbs of bass. Congrats to Jimmy Davis Jr. and Marti Davis on the WIN with 17.00 lbs. Thanks to the OMTT and staff for an amazing event. Their payback is second to none (100% PAYBACK) so if you are interested in fishing team tournaments this is the trail for you! Last id like to thank David for the opportunity to fish this event and HUGE congrats to David and his partner Gary for qualifying for the 2019 Bassmaster Team Championship held on Harris Chain in Lake County, Florida! WOW!! Congrats to our buddies Josh Busby and Tim Taylor for qualifying as well! Thanks again for watching and good luck out there!🎣😉
The rain was relentless on tournament day so the GoPro stayed safe in it’s bag. It was a great tournament at Smith Mountain Lake and both Paul and I caught our 5 bass limit. We decided to fun fish for a couple of hours the following morning and even though we lost a few nice ones, it was still a great way to end an awesome weekend of bass fishing on Smith Mountain Lake.
The big bass always show up on Lake Guntersville. Watch the Bassmaster Elite Series anglers take on the bass fishing destination in Alabama in this full show from 2007.

Got the invite to hit Stockton Lake with David in the Joe Bass Team Trail. Been awhile since iv been on the lake but I had alot of fun looking at fish. Seen some big bass follow the floating worm but no takers. We weighed our bucks in but came up short of a check with only 10 lbs and 11 lbs got paid! Thanks David for the opportunity and thank you all for checking out the video. David sure makes those spawners look easy with his homemade jig! Wait til the next one guys…Ozark Mountain Team Trail on Table Rock is next up🎣🎣🎣😉
Met up with Blake Felix to find some bass for his upcoming 2 day
Shriners tournament on Truman Lake. Didnt take long to get some bites and Blake put the smackdown on some keeper bass later in the day. Always fun fishing a new body of water and learning a thing or two. Cant wait to get back up there and catch some! Thanks for checking out the video as always
I finally caught my first bass while fishing with an underspin and a Keitech Swimbait! Similar to a spinnerbait, an Underspin has a rotating blade below the body of the lure. It gives off a lot of vibration and flash in the water. In this case it looks like a couple of swimming shad which is one type of forage for bass. Bass fishing with an under spin can be tricky around weeds or anything else that can get caught in the blade. I am excited to get my first bass fishing an underspin. It paired up well with the Keitech Swimbait.

Stop #2 in the AIA we didnt even catch a keeper!! So here we are at Stop #3 Anglers In Action and were hoping to catch a good stringer. Alot of fish were caught but size was hard to come by for us. We ended up catching 13 lbs of bass but it took 14 lbs to get a check this time around. Thanks for checking out the video as always.
Day 2 of the FLW Costa on Table Rock was a rough one for me. I caught plenty of fish, but did not adjust to get the right bites. The bite changed from the day before, and the bigger fish did not want the ned rig! If you are new, please subscribe to my channel! Thanks for watching!
I didn’t only catch my first topwater bass of 2018, I caught a bunch!!! The conditions were perfect for a topwater bite & the bass fishing was epic. A crazy mini heat wave in Maryland warmed the water temperatures to 70 degrees and the bass were going crazy up in the shallows. A little bluegill patterned topwater popper was all it took get a bunch of hungry pre-spawn and spawning bass to blow up and engulf my bait!!!
