15 pound Largemouth Bass Underwater

A “deeper” look into the biology and ecosystems underwater across North America, focusing on the basic habits, tendencies and behaviors that give us better insight into the worlds by which we are all so fascinated by. Big Bass Dreams takes you through an underwater realm seldom explored and documented, the one in our very backyards. Learn about the basics about important prey species, the target sport fish species themselves, and the different environmental conditions in which we must decipher as we continue “Piecing the Puzzle” on each and every outing.

This installment of the series features the Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides). In this case it’s a 7 pound class male and a GIANT female of about 15 pounds give or take a pound. Fascinating for us to observe these creatures in their element, with so much to learn from just watching them.

We are actively challenging both ourselves and our viewers to elevate our game in order to become better fishermen. We hope you enjoy the series and make sure to subscribe for NEW content uploading frequently! Also hit the bell to turn on your notifications.

PB Goosebumps ~ EPIC ROAD trip FISHING Kentucky Lake BASS

I have goosebumps from a totally unscheduled fishing stop on my road trip north at Kentucky Lake. Bank fishing for bass I managed to catch my PB spotted bass fishing a drop shot rig in a small bay right next to the dam. Headed on a road trip to my brother’s wedding and some epic smallmouth bass fishing in Michigan I just randomly stopped and got a hotel for the night down the road from Kentucky Lake, grabbed a fishing liscense, and went out OG style trying to catch my first Kentucky Lake bass – I would’ve never known it would be my PB!!! This is just the beginning of a road trip series chronicling my trip to search for my PB smallmouth bass with my buddy Benjamin Nowak. So stay tuned!

Fishing New Waters For Bass & B-Roll

Top little trip with Timmy turtle and a good chance for me to “improve” my fresh water fishing. We fished hard for only a few Bass but when it’s in a magical green paradise, that’s not such an issue.

Walking Bass Lessons – L#2 Scale Patterns – 1-2-3-1

The Free Source of Walking Bass Lessons

My name is Tomasz Ziobro, I am founder and creator of walkingbasslessons.com.
As opposed to random lessons on YouTube on this topic,
I am introducing to you a complete course on how to create walking bass lines from scratch!

To support practising of this material I created PDF files containing TAB and Notation to illustrate each single lesson!

But to really give your practise session a boost I created a backing tracks of jazz standards to make you feel like you play in a live band situation!!! This is going to enormously improve your playing!

In this video I quickly recap previous lesson on scale/passing tones and explain which particular scale to use over different types of chords. Also I introduce new jazz standard “Satin Doll” which we are going to use in the next few lessons. I go through first eight bars of that tune and then apply the first scale pattern 1-2-3-1 to this progression.
Finally I talk a bit about the importance of practising as understanding is of this material is not enough to be a fluent at playing walking bass lines.

Key Aspects of Spinnerbait Fishing Bass

The spinnerbait is one of the most recognizable and widely used lures in all of bass fishing. The reason is simple – you can cast, reel and catch. However, this is just the starting point of unlocking the bait’s full potential.

Professional bass angler Terry Bolton believes retrieve speed experimentation is the most important aspect of successful spinnerbait fishing. They can be fished fast and high in the water column, slow and deep, and anywhere in between. This makes spinnerbaits a year-round player in a range of environments and fish moods, but you need to be dialed on the right retrieve speed to cash in. Terry also shares some color preferences guidelines based on water clarity and sun conditions. Lastly, he shares a tip on tuning spinnerbaits that you need to pay attention to after each catch.

How to Fish the Shad Spawn for Largemouth Bass

This is an amazing time of the year. In this video I show you how to fish the shad spawn for largemouth bass. There is a specific time of the year and time of the day where the bite can be awesome but if you sleep in you will miss it. In the Spring and after the bass spawn the shad move up to spawn and the bass hang around for an easy meal. Grab your favorite spinnerbait or topwater and go have a blast fishing for big bass.

Advanced Bass Fishing Tips – How To Catch Entire Schools Of Fish!

Quit wasting time and quit catching the small ones. Tim explains our exact system for triggering schooling bass into feeding and then walks through each move we make to keep those bass aggressively feeding until the biggest fish in the school begin to bite.

Most bass anglers have the opportunity to fish for large schools of fish but very few even realize it. Ever reeled in a bass and had other bass follow it in? Ever caught a bass, sat down, retied, etc… and then cast out and got bit again right away? If you were prepared these are both scenarios where you may have been able to catch bass after bass after bass, and maybe even have caught the biggest bass of your life!

The key to this style of fishing is preparation. You need to be prepared to effectively target schooling bass and you need to have the mindset prepared to adjust rapidly in order to keep the school feeding. Below is a list of the lure styles we use to target schooling fish.

Greg Hackney Catching Bass in Deep Hydrilla

Lake Okissa near Brookhaven, Mississippi is the stop for this week’s episode of Sportsman TV. Host Greg Hackney got together with Bernie Reed, the owner of Reed’s Metals. Hackney was excited to discover a lake with deep water within a couple hour drive of his house.

“I had never been to Okissa before, but I had heard of it. Honestly if I knew what kind of lake it was I would have definitely gone much sooner” Hackney explains, “It’s the kind of lake that is deep enough to use my electronics to graph fish and to have that so close to home is really awesome”

In the show Hackney runs through a variety of fish-catching methods, but the the one that worked best was dropping a jig into the deep hydrilla. Watch the show to see what Hackney uses and how he caught a nice stringer for the day.

After the fishing trip Hackney and Reed head to the flagship location for Reeds Metals to check out the production facility. Reed shows Hackney all the different ways you can build a metal building a what Reeds has to offer.
