We are going saltwater fishing for bonitos with topwater lures. There was a giant school of bonito or false albacore, jumping out of the water after bait fish at the surface. We threw our topwater lures and got absolutely destroyed by these powerful Florida fish crushing our lures at the surface. These fish are so fast and powerful that they can really tests the drag on a fishing reel, especially when being chased by a shark. I love fishing for anything in saltwater, but anytime you can see epic huge schools of fish schooling and know that they will hit a topwater lure, it’s the best kind of fishing!
