Catching Smallmouth Bass, Stockton Lake Mo, September 12th 2018

Had 4 or 5 hours to fish Thursday afternoon so, as I had a Tri County Bass Club tournament there Saturday the 15th, decided to pre-fish a few hours!

Warm day, with a few scattered clouds, slight breeze out of the NNE of 4-7 mph. Water temps were in the 75 to 78 degree range and the water was slightly stained from the rains a few days before!

Launched from Mutton Creek about 1:30 and never got more than a mile away from the ramp.

Got on a long bank and noticed the wind had shifted more from the SSE was kind of hitting that bank behind the point so decided to try spinnerbaits/crankbaits!

Caught a couple decent keeper smallmouth bass and a couple of short largemouth bass.

All and all, a fun day on the lake!
