Drop shotting is not my favorite technique but it will almost always get bites when you fish are sitting below you and you can see them on the electronics. I was catching them really good on a crankbait in this general area, but had the drop shot handy for any roaming fish that would show up on the electronics right below me that I could quickly drop down and pick up some extra bites.
Here I am rigged up with a Texas style drop shot system with a 6’10” Medium Light Shimano Cumulus rod and a 2500 Stradic FK rigged with 20lb Power Pro Max Cuatro braided line.
