Huge River Smallmouth Peels Drag on Ultra Light Pole- Willamette River Bass Fishing

I set out in the canoe late one Saturday afternoon in hopes of getting into some Smallmouth Bass on the Willamette River south of Portland Oregon. I put in at an area above the Willamette Falls at West Linn and fished for several hours with not a lot of action. Once the shadows started casting on the north bank it is like the fish just turned on. I hooked into this 4.6 LB Smallmouth on a Light action Rod with a Green Pumpkin tube lure tied to 8lb mono line. What a great feeling! Peeling Drag!
