Didnt really plan to make a video out of this trip but got some really cool topwater blow ups throwing the popper around. Missed most the fish today but the blow ups were pretty cool so I did not care all the much.
Finished 6th with 28.89. Overall a great tournament!

When it comes to topwater baits for bass, it’s hard to beat a popper… and if you can make your popper spit water, instead of making a big bubble, you’re taking this bait to the next level. This one simple modification can greatly increase your success with a popper. Give it a try, I think you’ll be happy with the results.

The bite was very rough. Managed a limit that weighed 12.51lbs. Finesse tatics worked well as fish are starting to get in their summer time pattern.
Had a blast going out to a local pond and catching some big fish on a topwater spook. If you have any questions, feel free to email me or comment down below.

Peric and I set out the day after Wisconsin bass opener to key in on some spawning shallow water fish. Peric primarily flipped the jig, I focused on the frog bite and we ended up landing a little over 20 fish (not all on camera). Anytime they are crunching a jig or boiling a frog its worth the trip. I really hope you all enjoyed this vid. I’m trying to keep the style fresh and different for some of you who have been long time viewers. As always…keep fishing, never stop!
