Worm Fishing for BIG LONG ISLAND LUNKERS – Worming for LUNKER LARGEMOUTH BASS

Worm Fishing for BIG LONG ISLAND LUNKERS – Worming for LUNKER LARGEMOUTH BASS. The freshwater fishing been so fantastic this year I took 3 days looking for Long Island Lunker Bass. What made the fishing even more fun was fighting through some big pesky pickerel to get to the largemouth bass. For 3 days I relied on the worm. One day I finessed it, one day Texas style, and one day both. The yield was 3 Long Island lunkers and a bunch of smaller large mouth bass with countless pickerel in between.

The largest black bass of the lot actually took a 3″ grub. WINDY. Followed by a dead calm. Something inside the gut told me go to the grub. I did not argue. First cast. Skip, jump, hop over some timber and lunker bass on! Off plan but it worked. If you know me I hate plans. Plans never work. However deviate from the plan and you have gold. I did pick a few other lunker’s and a slew of fish on the worm and I feel more then happily satisfied with those results as well.
